SHBBFAS006 – Provide Specialised Facial Treatments
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to provide specialised facial treatments incorporating the use of ultrasonic, direct current, high frequency and micro current devices.
It requires the ability to establish priorities with clients and synthesise knowledge of skin, performance of electrical machines and allied cosmetic products, and to design and provide treatments to address specific skin types and conditions. Not all equipment is used in each specialised facial treatment. Specialised facials can be a single treatment or form part of a series of treatments.
Pre-Requisites For Course
SHBBFAS005 Provide Facial Treatments and Skincare Recommendations.
SHBBSSC001 Incorporate Knowledge of Skin Structures & Functions into Beauty Therapy
SHBBSSC002 Incorporate Knowledge of Body Structures & Functions into Beauty Therapy
Requirements for Course Completion
- Completed workbook
- Written exam
- Practical assessments
- Practical log
- Must attend all practical training days
*Practical hours may be required in clinic on a Wednesday to finish your assessment requirements. This will be discussed with you in person depending on the quality of your work while training, and your confidence, to ensure you are competent and efficient with your new skills before you complete.

$250.00 required with enrolment – remainder of course to be paid on a payment plan or by two weeks prior to commencement of your training.
