SHBBFAS005 – Provide Facial treatments and Skincare Recommendations
This class will teach you all the techniques required to perform a professional facial cleanse, exfoliation (with steam), facial massage, applying and removing mask and finishing with toner & moisturiser.
It requires the ability to establish priorities with clients, synthesise knowledge of cosmetic chemistry and nutrition, and to design and provide facial routines and advice on products and protection of facial skin.
SHBBSSC001 – Incorporate Knowledge of Skin Structures and Functions into Beauty Therapy
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use a knowledge and understanding of skin structure, functions, systems and their interrelationships in order to identify and analyse client needs, design and perform beauty therapy treatments and provide post-treatment service.
It requires the ability to use an understanding of skin and hair anatomy and physiology to select the best treatment routine and products and promote skin health and appearance to clients.
SHBBSSC002 – Incorporate Knowledge of Body Structures and Functions into Beauty Therapy
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use a knowledge and understanding of body structures, functions, systems and their interrelationships in order to identify and analyse client needs, design and perform beauty therapy treatments and provide post-treatment service.
It requires the ability to use anatomy and physiology knowledge to select the best treatment routines and products and promote health to clients.
Coure Pre-Requisites
SHBBSSC001 Incorporate Knowledge of Skin Structures and Functions into Beauty Therapy.

*Practical hours may be required in clinic to finish your assessment requirements. This will be discussed with you in person depending on the quality of your work while training, and your confidence, to ensure you are competent and efficient with your new skills before you complete.
